WHY SHOULD I HAVE A CHIPTUNING INSTALLED?
The chip raises purposefully the performance and power of the motor. Especially with lower turns the response raises spectacularly. The raise in couple is especially interesting for driving with a caravan, a trailer or in the mountains.
WHY DON'T THE MANUFACTURERS DO THIS IN THE FACTORY?
The manufacturers have to take into account that their cars also have to be able to drive with less qualitative fuel. The quality of the fuel in Europe permits us to adapt the electronic control unit (ECU) to achieve an important gain in couple and power. Also the manufacturers release a car without doing any adaptations to let the car drive in an economical and efficient way in warm as well as in cold, wet or dry regions.
HOW DOES A CHIPTUNING WORK?
The chiptuning optimizes the ignition timing and fuel injection to achieve more power and couple at the whole line.
WHICH POWER RAISE CAN I EXPECT?
The raise in power of the motor is different for every brand and model (have a look at the "Chiptuning" page). In general atmospheric motors (without turbo) gain 10% power and 15% couple. Turbo motors react differently with a raise up to 30% power and 40% couple for most of the models.
IS THERE A CHIPTUNING AVAILABLE FOR MY CAR, AND WHAT ABOUT THE GUARANTEE?
The chiptuning is available for most of the cars with injection produced after 1986. All cars have been optimized with a power database with the best care of our engineers. We give you a guarantee of 2 years on the installation. Our optimization stays into the tolerances of the manufacturer to guarantee you 100% reliability.
THE INSURANCE?
The insurance premium is based on the kW of the car. Because the tuning raises the kW of your car you have to contact your insurance to adapt this.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO CHIPTUNE THE CAR?
We work by appointment only. The installation takes about 4 hours.
